**Our Band Could be Your Life** by **Michael Azerrad** an absolute must read for everybody even remotely interested in music, subcultures, and DIY. a comprehensive history of the major players in the 80s punk, hardcore, and adjacent scenes, featuring deep dives on bands such as: fugazi, minor threat, sonic youth, black flag, and butthole surfers.
