### Books The ever growing third culture library! # Fiction **The Fall** by *Albert Camus* | I really like this book, it's helped me quite a bit throughout my life to have read this. (q) **Welcome to the NHK** by *Tatsuhiko Takimoto* better than the anime (which is also very good) and came first. (q) **Gothic Violence** & **Harassment Architecture** by *Mike Ma* | The opinions on the man and the circles that worship him will remain vague and unstated (I ████ them). With none of that in mind, I deeply enjoy Ma's writing. I hesitate to classify this under fiction. Also, he really likes music. These books are filled to the brim with music references, both niche and iconic. Following is a snippet from Harassment Architecture. I feel it shows his whacky, unserious style perfectly. Also, Ariel Pink. Nice. -☨
# Non-fiction **Our Band Could be Your Life** by *Michael Azerrad* | an absolute must read for everybody even remotely interested in music, subcultures, and DIY. a comprehensive history of the major players in the 80s punk, hardcore, and adjacent scenes, featuring deep dives on bands such as: fugazi, minor threat, sonic youth, black flag, and butthole surfers.
